FOCUS, the ministry to university students at Hyde Park Baptist Church, is just a few short blocks north of the University of Texas campus. As a church, our desire for college students is simple…we work hard at “connecting people, pursuing Christ, and serving together.”
Connecting People
At FOCUS, you’ll find friends that will walk with you through the up’d and down’s of life. We know there is no perfect church, and inside any church you’ll find imperfect people who are all in different places in their spiritual journey. But we strive to connect those people who are journeying towards finding and putting in place God’s best for their life.
Pursuing Christ
We take Jesus at His word when he says that He is “the Way, the Truth and the Life, ” and so we point to Him in everything we do. He is the beginning end of every spiritual journey as well as the one who provides the means! We want you to equip you in college with the ability to hear God speak to you and provide you with experience in obeying His call on your life to live for His Son, Jesus Christ.
Serving Together
It’s our goal that the overflow of connecting people and pursuing Christ be serving together. FOCUS wants to join the Body of Christ in demonstrating and declaring The Gospel of Jesus Christ to our campuses and the world!
